Justin Toth
DVM Veterinarian | Practice Owner
A proud Auburn University graduate—War Eagle!—Dr. Justin Toth has been a passionate advocate for animals and veterinary medicine for nearly three decades. As founder and owner of Dallas Highway Animal Hospital since 2001, he has built an independently owned practice grounded in trust, compassion, and personalized care. His team is dedicated to strengthening the human-animal bond through thoughtful, advanced medical care, and he's deeply proud of the culture they've cultivated. Originally from Atlanta, Dr. Toth is a lifelong Braves fan and an active member of the veterinary community both locally and nationally. He serves on the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine Advisory Board and previously held leadership roles including President of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and Delegate to the American Veterinary Medical Association. Locally, he continues to contribute his time as President of the Cobb County Veterinary Medical Association and on the Cobb County Animal Services Board as liaison to his County Commissioner. Dr. Toth’s love for animals extends far beyond the clinic. He believes deeply in the emotional lives of animals and the powerful connection between pets and people. The evolving science that supports this belief continues to inspire his work every day. Whether he's helping a pet manage a chronic condition like congestive heart failure or celebrating the joy of a newly adopted puppy, he never loses sight of the trust his clients place in him. Family is at the heart of everything Dr. Toth does. He and his wife Sandy—his best friend and biggest supporter—have been married for over 30 years. They’ve raised two incredible daughters: Mary Catherine, who works with native wildlife at Bear Hollow Zoo in Athens, and Anna Leigh, a University of Georgia student studying art education. The Toth household also includes a lively bunch of four-legged family members: dogs Nash, Dottie, and Tuck, and cats Esme and Nellie P. Dr. Toth finds joy in the art and science of healing, awe in the resilience of the body, and meaning in every relationship he builds—with pets, their families, and his colleagues in the veterinary profession.

Bossman
Thanks to Dr. Toth, I joined the hospital staff in April 2009. I enjoy being around other cats, dogs, and people. I am always excited in the mornings to get my special breakfast and treats, but 4 pm is the best part of my day because that is Churu time! Most of time you can find me lounging in my cat tree bed, office chairs or on the desks of my favorite people. I do get the zoomies from time to time just to let everyone know I am feeling good and happy!

Moonpie
I joined the hospital staff in 2024. I was a little shy and quiet at first, but I have adjusted well, and I love all the attention I get daily. I enjoy being brushed and pet frequently. I have some nice beds where I spend most of my time taking cat naps. When I am in play mode, I have a favorite bird toy that I toss around and play with.
